During my Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics at the Universidad Católica de Córdoba (Argentina), I became particularly interested in evolutionary genomics and the use of computational approaches to understand how genomes change. My thesis focused on plant phylogenomics, studying the evolutionary relationships within the genus Zanthoxylum. As an intern at the Gonzalez Lab, I am now thrilled to explore the role of mobile genetic elements in adaptation in Diptera.
